Our Happiest Week Ever!

It's taken me too long to get this post done, but we have to share all about the best week that we have ever had! On Wednesday November 28th, Nate, Aaron and I went to the courthouse in Provo Utah and finalized our adoption to our sweet Aaron Jay! It was incredible.
Nate's dad and step mom were there, and my parents and many of my siblings were all there to support us as well. Our judge was judge Lynn Davis, and he was very sweet and supportive. The whole process wasn't long or involved but it was special. The judge mentioned of much he admired Aaron's birth parents for making this decision and how much he could tell that we just loved our little guy. When it was all final and signed he invited us up and took pictures of us with him. He even wrapped Aaron in his cloak and gave him the gavel to hold. We cried, smiled, and felt such great joy. Now according to the state of Utah we are "officially" Aaron's mom and dad. Even though it has been real from the moment he was born for me.

Our next big even happened on November 30th. This was the icing on the cake, the day we have been waiting 6 months for... being sealed in the Provo temple as a family! The whole experienced was so special and sacred to us. We got to the temple around 4:30, signed all the papers we needed to, and then just waited for all of our guests to get there and then be sealed to our son! I don't think that I have ever felt such an abundance of the spirit. As we were surrounded by our family and friends, and they brought Aaron to us all dressed in white, and we knelt together to be sealed as an eternal family, there was no greater joy to be felt! I couldn't stop crying as I looked at our surrounding and felt of the spirit of our Heavenly Father! How truly blessed we are! I a thankful every day for my son, or Nate, and for our eternal family. Our prayers have been answered and we are so very blessed.
After we were finished at the temple we drove back to our church and had dinner and Nate was able to bless Aaron on the same day. We are glad that it all worked out because I don't think we would have had a better time when we were all together and have every one there. For our little party we had Taco Salad, cupcakes for dessert and plenty of fun, friends and family to go around.
It was the best week ever!
