So we decided to take our dogs (and my father-in-law's dogs as well), up in the mountains and just play! We drove up Spanish Fork canyon and headed of on lake fork road to explore. We love finding the small dirt roads that hardly anyone knows about, or goes on for our adventures.
It was awesome to have some time to ourselves, playing in the mountains and enjoying the beauty that surrounds us. We LOVE playing in the mountains. After a couple of hours of exploring we found a hidden reservoir (Smith's reservoir). Our dogs had a blast playing in the steam, and it was good to be able to get them out of the back yard, and out to play. Some day we will own out own house out in the mountains.
| The dogs. Wet and happy! They love the mountains just as much as we do. |
By the time we pulled into our driveway it was pouring! The rain was thick, and it came down fast! My favorite part was the lighting and thunder. It felt as though the storm was park directly over our house. So we got the dogs back into their cage and then decided to play a little ourselves in the rain.
Nate stood out in the rain that was rushing off of our house. It was raining so hard that all of the rain gutters were overflowing with water and spilling over all around our house.
I decided to head out to the street and jump in the puddles. Once Jesse saw what we were doing he joined in. He put on his swim trunks and splashed around for a bit. It was nice to take a break and have a little fun in the rain. Sometimes I think we all just need to play in the rain!
